- Appointed by Governor Christine Todd Whitman to assist the commissioner in leading the department through a vital transition period.
- Asked by the Governor to serve as Acting Commissioner to spearhead key legislative initiatives. Championed the research, drafting and passage of the New Jersey Interstate Banking and Branching Act allowing commercial and savings banks to expand operations into and out of state. Removed the prohibition on international banks operating in New Jersey. Signed into law April 1996.
- Promoted the Licensed Lenders Act to consolidate four types of lending authorizations (mortgage lending, secondary mortgage lending, consumer finance and sales finance) into one professional certification.
- Develop legislation to modernize New Jersey banking statutes to provide streamlined access to various banking, insurance and securities products.
- Generated a survey of fees charged by New Jersey depository institutions for distribution to consumers via the Internet.
- Directed the first update to New Jersey's Money Transmission Act since 1907 resulting in easier reporting for regulated foreign money remitters, domestic money remitters and check sellers.
- Served as department representative to the Economic Development Authority and Housing Mortgage Finance Agency. Facilitated public/private partnerships between these agencies and the banking community.
- Chairman, District One - Conference of State Bank Supervisors representing the Middle Atlantic region and New England .

- General accounting services providing financial statement and tax preparation for over 350 accounts. Included consulting to small and medium size businesses specializing in automobile dealership accounting, auditing and consulting with the mortgage banking industry, and small business consulting.
- Financial and operational advisory services for non-profit organizations (The Freedom Foundation of New Jersey Inc., Great Falls Preservation and Development Corporation).
2000 to 2001 – Bruno DiBello & Co. L.L.C. – Senior Manager
- Develop an accounting practice with specialties in the auto dealership and financial services industry
- Provide financial advisory services to clients of an affiliated Bruno DiBello company, Second Family Caregivers, LLC
1999 to 2000 - Morrison & Company, P.A. – Director: Banking and Financial Services
- Headed a new initiative to build new client relationships and strengthen existing accounts for this forensic accounting firm providing litigation support services throughout the Northeast.
- Lead managed a team assessing merger and acquisition candidates for a mid-sized savings bank. Financial and strategic analysis of pooled insurance and commercial banking opportunities.
- Advised a New England state, cabinet department on workout and liquidation of an insurance owned health maintenance organization.

- Auditing and supervisory responsibilities for teams of up to 20 staff accountants.
